My first bike was a Honda 250 Custom. (same paint scheme as pic)
What a sweet little ride! Nimble, great on gas, 115Km/hr all day long.
It was my ticket to freedom @ 20 years old.
Number 2 was a beaten down Hawk; same paint scheme as pic.
A substantially different ride then the 250.
Heavy, smooth and 400cc's? I thought I'd gone to heaven. (Except for the blue smoke! lol)
Number 3 was the lovely 1981 Yamaha XJ-550 Seca. I purchased it in 2001, I think, and drove her every year until 2015.
Not much better!
Number 4 is the intense 1985 Yamaha XJ-750X.
liquid cooled, 4 cyl, 5 valves/cyl, shaft drive cruiser with a rocket ship engine.
The old girl throws 90 horse power.
0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. That is still really fast! Especially in this era of V-twin sameness!
